Arboleda Winery

Montes Wines

History

The story of this wine falls in line with the adage that necessity is the mother of all inventions. It started out with Aurelio Montes and Douglas Murray. Having sampled some Chilean Wines, they got convinced that they could do better. Therefore, they started their vineyard back in 1987 with the aim of producing high-quality wine in the Aconcagua Valley. Alfredo Vidaurre and Pedro Grand came into the picture in 1988, and thus Montes Wines came to be.

They aimed to produce enough wine bottles to sell all over the world. They put in hard work, and by 2005, the winery had grown to be Chile’s fifth largest wine exporter. As at now, you can find their wines all over the world, and they are open for bookings.

Errazuriz Winery

History

When people think of Chilean Wine Regions, they think of Don Maximiano Errazuriz. After all, he is the man who dared to do the impossible by practicing viticulture in Aconcagua! He started his journey back in 1870 by planting his first vines in the valley. His descendants carried on his work, and thus, this winery is still a formidable force in the wine-making industry.
The winery is a two-story structure, built in 1870, and it stands strong to this day. It took fourteen years for the construction work to get completed, and a French winemaker oversaw the process. Visitors to the winery get to go through the various historical rooms which house hundreds of iconic wines.

Wines

You will find the Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon which mostly comprises of Cabernet Sauvignon. Other varieties present in this wine are Carmenere, Cabernet Fran, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Also in store for you are KAI Carmenere and La Cumbre Syrah.
