- 1 cup brown rice
- 1 2/3 cups broth (beef/chicken/vegetable)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry or semi-dry white wine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 lbs medium shrimp – peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
To begin with, combine the brown rice and water in a small saucepan.
Next, bring to a boil and cover. Straightaway, reduce the heat to low and cook until all broth is absorbed into the rice.
In essence, this cooking process should take roughly 25 minutes. Do not open prematurely.
First, melt the butter with the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. The mixture of butter and oil increases the butter’s burning point.
