Rosé Cocktails: Refreshing Summer Drinks

Tangy and refreshing, zesty with a hint of fruit; Rosé is perfect for summer. Furthermore, Rosé contain hints of everything from honeysuckle and pomegranate to tomato. Rosé cocktails are just as perfect.

There is no perfect Rosé because all Rosé’s are perfect. The ideal summer drink, Rosé cocktails are necessary for your hot summer days and evenings off. Perfect for the backyard, or a picnic with friends; these Rosé cocktail recipes are instant favorites. Many of these recipes are light on alcohol, with the option to enhance. Don’t worry guys, Rosé is not just for the ladies.

The Rosé Cocktails:

Pomegranate Mint Rosé Sangria:

Pomegranate and Rosé, sweet or dry, go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. Rosé Sangria with pomegranate is the perfect summer drink. Refreshing and crisp, with the perfect level of tang and sweetness. The level of alcohol in this recipe will be determined by the percentage of the wine. However, adding pomegranate liquor is always a good option.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Bottle of Dry Rosé Wine (Your favorite dry Rosé will do!)
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Mint Leaves.
  • 1 Cup Pomegranate seeds.
  • 1.5 cups Real Pomegranate Juice. (Fresh from the fruit or freshly bottled)
  • 1/2 cup Limeade. (Can be substituted for lime juice, or sliced limes. However, it will affect sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup favorite summer berries (blueberries, strawberries, etc)
  • Optional: 1 Cup Pomegranate Liquor.

Instructions:

Stack the mint leaves, use the bottle as a rolling pin to crush them slightly. This will bring out a mintier flavor. Place the mint leaves and fruit (Including Pomegranate seeds) into a glass pitcher. Pour in the Rosé, followed by the pomegranate juice and limeade (or lime juice/sliced limes). Mix well. If adding Pomegranate liquor, add now. The Sangria is best chilled, ice will dilute the amazing flavor, however you can use ice or chill the cocktail prior to serving. Ice will keep the Sangria colder, longer, in the summer sun.

Sweet Strawberry Rosé Spritzer:

This Sweet Strawberry Rosé Spritzer is the perfect small batch summer drink. While you can easily make (and drink) a pitcher of this sunny day classic, it is perfect to make in individual glasses. Show off to your friends and keep them refreshed with a glass of strawberry perfection.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Bottle Sparkling Rose. (Chilled)
  • 1 Lemon, sliced.
  • 1/2 Bunch Fresh Mint Leaves.
  • 1 Cup Strawberries, sliced.
  • Sparkling Water OR Gin. (Or Both)

Instructions:

In individual glasses, place several strawberry slices and mint leaves. Muddle (crush) with a spoon or pestle to release flavors. Fill the glass halfway with Rosé. Top off with either sparkling water, or Gin. The Sparkling water in addition to the Sparkling Rosé will make the bubbly effect last longer, as wine bubbles tend to disperse quickly. Lastly, place a slice of lemon in the drink, along with sliced strawberry for garnish.

Note: All Liquid Ingredients should be properly chilled beforehand.
